Stickers are just as popular a collectible in CS2 as weapon skins. Stickers can significantly affect the cost of a skin and give it an unusual or funny look. In the recent update “A Call to Arms”, the developers not only added a new capsule but also improved the mechanism for applying stickers. In this article written by Volodymyr Huda, you will learn about all the changes that affect stickers in CS2. You can even learn more about CS2 pro player stats and what skins and stickers are used by pro players like Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato from FURIA Esports or Nikola “NiKo” Kovač from G2 Esports.

Mechanism For Using Stickers in CS2

In addition to adding a new capsule called “Ambush”, the “Call To Arms” update includes several more important points regarding stickers:

  • You can now add up to five stickers to one item instead of four.
  • The places for their placement are not fixed, and they can be chosen arbitrarily.
  • Stickers can be rotated at different angles.
  • To more accurately choose the place where to attach the sticker, you can zoom in.

Even in those days when there were only four possible sticker placement options for each skin, players managed to find interesting combinations, for example, replacing the weasel head on a Glock-18 | Weasel with a sticker of some monster. Now there will be even more opportunities for such experiments. You can put together a funny message from several stickers, use them to tell a whole story, or simply update the design of your skin, for example, AK-47 | Slate – the number of options is almost unlimited.

Old skins with stickers remain unchanged. In some cases, they may even look better due to the fact that the stickers are now slightly different sizes. It is possible that in the future Valve will refine the mechanism for adding stickers and make some other improvements to it.

Stickers From The New Capsule

The capsule “Ambush” consists of twenty stickers. Three of them fall into the “Extraordinary” category. Four stickers belong to the “Exotic” category. Six stickers belong to the “Remarkable” category and eight stickers are of “High Grade” quality. Let’s look at the most impressive of them.

Dystopian Gaze

The most expensive and impressive sticker that belongs to the “Extraordinary” category is the Dystopian Gaze with a lenticular effect. The sticker depicts an eye painted in neon colors with an iris that resembles a lens. The sticker is made primarily in shades of purple and pink.

Old School

The Old School sticker, true to its name, looks quite simple. The image of an old-fashioned monitor may well appeal to those who have retained their passion for CS2 from previous versions. This is a skin from the “Extraordinary” category, it also has a lenticular effect.

Econometer

Finally, the third of the “Extraordinary” stickers, called Econometer, reminds you of the tension growing with each round. The sticker image is similar to a slot machine board with the words “Eco”, “Force”, “Buy”, with the arrow pointing to “Force”. It is also made in the lenticular effect.

Ouchie

As for the “Exotic” foil effect stickers, there are four of them in the capsule, and each is interesting in its own way. One of the most minimalist stickers in the “Exotic” category is Ouchie. The sticker is in the form of a strip of adhesive-colored plaster. It will look good on skins with high float values, skins with golden elements, or skins in brown and beige tones.

On An Eco

Another simple skin from the “Exotic” category is On An Eco. The sticker represents a closed cycle sign (creation – use – disposal). It is made in green and goes well with skins in black and white (if you prefer contrast), as well as with skins in green (for example, M4A1-S | Moss Quartz, SCAR-20 | Emerald, MP9 | Hydra, AK-47 | Green Laminate).

Lost in Smoke

The Lost in Smoke sticker may appeal to those who appreciate a well-aimed grenade throw. The sticker represents smoke combined into the word “LOST”. The sticker is painted gray and goes well with many types of skins, including those in gray tones, for example, Five-SeveN | Hybrid from the new collection.

Loving Eyes

Some of the most popular stickers that are most popular among players are Loving Eyes with the Holo effect and Lotus with the Glitter effect. Both stickers belong to the “Remarkable” category.

The Loving Eyes sticker features the eyes of a girl with purple hair and her eyes have pink heart-shaped pupils. This sticker pairs especially well with skins that have purple elements in their design, such as M4A1-S | Black Lotus from a new case or USP-S | Black Lotus from Operation Riptide Case.

Lotus

This beautiful sticker comes in the shape of a lotus with a Glitter effect. The sticker includes pastel shades of pink, purple, and blue. This skin also looks especially attractive with skins in purple tones – for example, M4A4 | X-Ray, M4A4 | Neo-Noir, USP-S | Black Lotus, M4A1-S | Decimator, and others.

Pushing Smokes

Other notable stickers from the Remarkable category include Try Hard and Pushing Smokes.

The Pushing Smokes sticker depicts a character holding a weapon, goggles, and gloves, surrounded by grenade smoke. The sticker is made with the Glitter effect. The color scheme includes camouflage, as well as shades of gray, pink, and blue. This sticker goes well with any skins, both minimalistic and skins with a specific design. for example, you can use Pushing Smokes with USP-S | Printstream, AK-47 | Head Shot, AK-47 | Slate, or AK-47 | Ice Coaled.

Try Hard

The Try Hard sticker depicts a character with a red beard in a camouflage suit. His image is complemented by binoculars on his head, glasses on his eyes, and a lighter in his hands. This sticker is made with the Holo effect. This skin combines successfully with minimalist skins. For example, you can use it with M4A4 | Evil Daimyo, USP-S | Black Lotus, M4A1-S | Decimator, and others.

Conclusion

The new sticker capsule will satisfy the tastes of all CS2 players. At the moment, the average monthly number of players reaches 600-700,000, which indicates the sufficient success of the shooter.
